HONINGTEC WAS INVOLVED IN PROHIPP PROJECT

Since 2004 Honingtec has been involved in the PROHIPP project. This project is included in the SIXTH FRAMEWORK PROGRAM, in the research area 3.4.3.1.5 for support to the development of knowledge.

This is a European project to develop and improve new manufacturing methods and processes in the production of hydraulic cylinders and pressure vessels.





The consortium is formed by 23 companies of different European countries as Spain, France, The Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Belgium and Italy.

The main task of Honingtec is to improve in hydraulic cylinders honing process to get processes less aggressive in environmental sense, to reduce the production costs and to increase the expected life of the seals.

This project has allowed Honingtec to prepare much better than before to test and improve in new abrasives and to have one extended data base of honing. All this knowledge will rebound in all our customers improving their actual processes and cost-efficiency.
